Everyone arrived safely today. The Mahood family were delayed by an air traffic strike in Greece, but arrived later. We transferred from the airport to our beautiful hotel and headed out to the historic Plaka area under the Acropolis. We stopped off at Hadrian's gate before going to Syntagma Square, the political heart of Athens.
There was a political rally taking place due to Greece's present economic problems. After taking some pictures of the rally we went into the Plaka area and ate a delicious Greek lunch while enjoying the warm sun. In the evening we enjoy a delicious dinner at the exclusive Dionysus restaurant with great views towards the spotlighted Acropolis
